    NEW POLINI THOR 190 LIGHT PARAMOTOR ENGINE:
    LIGHT AND POWERFUL

    The great success achieved with the Thor paramotor engineshasn’t stopped the research and development of the Polini Motori technicaldepartment. Light, reliable, compact and powerful here it is the new range of“Polini Thor 190 Light” engines: three different models that among them standsout the new one with centrifugal clutch.

    It’s atwo stroke 193cc engine, with really reduced weight of 13,2 kg, transmissionwith belt gearing-down, compact dimension but powerful. It has been designed tomeet the needs of the “pilots” who are willing to use a really performingengine of reduced weight. Project and approval required many tests and manyhours of flight to grant the best performance and safety requirements. For themost exigent pilots a model with electric starter and a model with centrifugalclutch and flash starter are available.
    TECHNICAL FEATURES
    PURE TECHNOLOGY

    Polini Thor 190 engine features advanced technical solutions; dimensions, powertorque ratio, reduced vibrations, performance of climb, innovative and compactdesign, but, above all, everything has been studied to grant the bestweight-power ratio, studying every single part in order to reduce its weight.
    TRANSMISSION
    Belt transmission with 2,83 reduction ratio. To reduce vibrations a new crankshaftwith distributed and optimized rotating weights has been designed for thisspecific transmission system. In order to resist to the belt strength, aspecial bearing has been housed on the transmission case side. It can stand atransversal load 10 times higher than the standard roller bearings. It lets thebelt have a constant stretch.
    SPECIFIC POWER UNIT
    The power unit with 193cc displacement, 64mm bore and 60mm stroke, is cast inlight alloy. It offers the maximum performance with 27 hp power at 7400rev/min. even at the maximum working temperature. The cylinder liner has anickel-chrome coating for the best piston sliding. The piston is gravitydie-cast in light alloy at high silicon content with 2 chromed and nitridesteel rings.

    EXHAUST SYSTEM
    The exhaust system is completely hand made for a better product quality. Themuffler has been designed to achieve a compact design, contained dimensions andto reduce its weight. The reduced overall dimensions improve the aerodynamicand grant a low noise level.
    BETTER COOLING
    The forced air cooling system grants a better air cooling, optimizing theperformance and maintaining fixed- temperature.
    ELECTRIC STARTER
    Thor 190 Light is also available with electric starter. This model is alsoprovided with a battery charger and one 12V socket for the flight instruments.This engine weights 15,3 kg.
    FIXING SYSTEM
    The frame-engine fixing points of the Polini Thor 190 Light are exactly thesame as the other engines: Thor 130, Thor 200 and Thor 250.

    - THOR 190 LIGHT WITH CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH
    Thor 190 Light is also available with the centrifugal clutch studied to grantthe maximum safety features during the engine preparation, take-off, flight andlanding. This model weights 14,4 kg. It includes the Flash starter.
    - THOR 190 LIGHT WITH ELECTRIC STARTER
    Thor 190 Light is also available with electric starter without centrifugalclutch. This model includes the battery charger and a 12V electric connectionfor the flight instruments. This model weights 14,9 kg.
